I. Mission
The mission of the WVAEA-Student Affiliate is to expand the role of adult students as leaders who promote the success of Adult Education efforts throughout West Virginia. The WVAEA-Student Affiliate is a resource for adult students to heighten public awareness, advocate for effective policies and practices, and promote the understanding that all who want to improve their skills can do so. Furthermore, the WVAEA-Student Affiliate will unite all learners in literacy and adult education programs.

1. Determining needs of adults within community, families, workplaces
2. Unification of students within adult education and literacy programs
3. Awareness of what adult education is becoming - GED, basic skills, literacy, special topics classes, college preparation, job readiness, team- building, etc.

2. Lobbying
